Chamber Dance Project Artistic Director Diane Coburn Bruning recently premiered Boots at the Magdeburg Opera House in Germany.

The ballet is a lament on war and a prayer for peace, dedicated to those lost and those left behind.

Chamber Dance Project will be performing Journey and Flying Cloud Cotillion (excerpt from Ramblin’ Suite), choreographed by Diane Coburn Bruning at The International Ballet Festival in Cali, South America. Dancers Brittany Fridenstine and Juan Carlos Penuela will be joining Diane for the tour.


Performances will take place at the Teatro Municipal in Cali with twelve dance companies represented from: Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Chile, Germany, Argentina, France, Mexico, Spain and Venezuela.


The Ballet Festival is sponsored by the Incolballet Company. Diane has been invited to teach master classes in choreography at the Incolballet school while visiting.

Diane Coburn Bruning, Artistic Director, and dancers, Caroline Fermin and Uthman Ebrahim, are featured in the photos along with drama and musical theater students.

Workshop coordinated by CDP interns: Jade Parente and Ashley Santana from TUHS. “Make A Duet” is an interactive workshop in which students learn about the history and evolution of the classical pas de deux. By the end of the class the students get to choreograph a piece on the dancers based on a theme they choose. One class chose the themes of desperation and liberation. Chamber Dance Project, dancers & musicians, is a contemporary ballet company with their own string quartet based in New York.
